On December 5th, 2022, BIOBESTicide hosted its Training for Farmers, held online to present the innovative biopesticide developed in the frame of the project.
Enrique Gonzalez Bautista from Greencell – the project coordinator – provided an interesting presentation on the innovative industrial process for the effective and cost-efficient production of a biological-controlling agent (BCA)-biopesticide to counteract the effects of Grapevine Trunk Diseases (GTDs) on both vineyards and winery industry.
The event highlighted the industrial process, which starts from the valorisation of sustainable biomasses (i.e., beet pulp and sugar molasses) and leverages on the properties of the oomycete Pythium oligandrum strain I-5180 to stimulate natural plant defenses.
At the end of the event, CiaoTech – PNO Group, the partner responsible of the Exploitation and Dissemination of the BIOBESTicide results, moderated an interesting Q&A section, aimed at further explore the features and benefits of the BIOBESTicide product.
